 Very nice stool and chair Sep 08, 2007

The Safco Metro chair is exactly what I was looking. It has easily adjustable heights that let it serve well as a desk chair or higher stool for counters or taller tables. It is very comfortable. I ordered the matching arms for mine. They are fine, but the lowest height is a little higher than I would like, still not bad. Finally, assembly was a piece of cake. I've ordered and put together about 4 or 5 chairs through the years and this one by far was the fastest and easiest. Really well designed and engineered in this way. Total assembly time with the arms was about 10 or 15 minutes - max.

This chair is an excellent value. We are a computer store and we use it to work on rows of computers. We can easily roll around and adjust the height as needed. We like the metal base which is very strong. This chair receives a great deal of use and has performed even better that expected. The pneumatic seat lift is well made should last a long time.

I have a high worktable with my computer at one end. I spend approximately three hours per day seated, using my computer. I sat on a tall stool (with a cushion) for years. After undergoing treatments for sciatica pain, I followed my doctor's recommendation and spent some money on a better chair, and I should have done it a long time ago. I like this chair because it is strong, well-made, good-looking, glides smoothly over my carpet, has a nice footrest, and was a snap to assemble. It's comfortable... the tilting back is great. I feel this chair will serve me well for a long time. Highly recommended.

Bought this chair for my overly tall desk Mar 19, 2009

Good chair, firm cushion that won't give that much over time. Chair is solid. I am a big guy and the chair is holding up pretty good.
It has that quality build that really separates it from the [..] crap at staples and ikea.
I think the one i bought didn't have the arm rest, but the chair is solid.
Not cushy but utilitarian; would recommend to men.

After several years of use (this is the best chair I've had), my seat fabric wore out and the foam inside started to come loose. I emailed Safco's customer service looking for a new seat. I got a response within 15 minutes, and within a half hour they had a brand new chair shipped out to me, under warranty, for free. OUTSTANDING. They have a customer for life.
