Great Device Sep 02, 2009
By R. Thompson

A great functional device for us old timers. Not sure why the review rating is calling it a "toy" but maybe it is for some. Since I purchased and set it up I have yet to change the batteries. It has worked every time and has been great for me at night. I use it for my water glass and so far spilling a little water on it hasn't hurt. Great product. Richard

I love this product. It is great when I get up in the middle of the night or when I am searching for my glasses or water glass. It makes a great gift. I gave one to all my family at Christmas.

AMAZING CHRISTMAS GIFT!!!!!!!!! Oct 12, 2010
By Sarah I bought this for my Husband 2 years ago and it's STILL kickin'! He has a habit of knocking over his water in the middle of the night while reaching for it. It's motion sensored which helps a TON! It's about 7" long and 4" wide so it's very compact. Great purchase and I may get more for other family members!

Wonderful Device Dec 31, 2010
By Ruth Sutton

I always keep a glass of water on my nightstand. After knocking over the glass a few times, I ran across this and absolutely love it! The only comment I have is that the sensor to turn on the light may be a little too sensitive although this isn't really a problem either as the light is very soft and not enough to annoy you - only enough for you to find your water, glasses, or lamp switch. It would go on if I turned over in bed but this was a simple fix as all I did was put the device behind the book I also keep on my nightstand. Just a book laying on its side does the trick, and now to turn turn it on all I do is put my hand out past the book, and viola, on it goes. Then it goes off in just the right amount of time. I love this device.

It works for me Feb 16, 2010
By Nee Montgomery I was given this as a Christmas present. I like to sleep in a very dark room, and it is nice to have a minimal amount of light when I get up in the night. I do not have it sitting right next to the bed, but rather on a dresser. When I get out of bed and stand, it comes on. Not a startling light, just a glow. I've had it now for 2 months and the batteries are still strong. It does not go off and on by itself, and though I didn't buy it here on Amazon myself, it clearly states that batteries are not included. For me, it's a good idea, and it works well.
Update 3/21/11 I still love this device, and a year has passed since my first review -- the batteries have not been replaced.
