This was a gift for my nephew who wants to be a doctor. It's a great way for him to get familiar with the human muscular system. Package came fine.

This would be a beautiful product if it were shipped properly. Unfortunately, the laminated chart that we received was severely damaged and can't be repaired. The packaging we received was VERY ill-suited to the product. The chart was rolled in a 24" x 5" x 5" light-weight, square-sided, cardboard box. This is a VERY weak geometric shape and a structure that is almost guaranteed to be crushed in shipment as it is essentially a light-weight box of air surrounded by paper being shipped in a truck filled with heavy boxes weighing up to 150 pounds. This is precisely what happened, the box was crushed and the quality chart which we paid for was turned into garbage. We've asked the seller to switch their shipping protocol to structurally stronger tubes and ship a replacement. We'll update this review after receiving feedback from the seller.
As to the chart itself, judging by the portions that were not crushed beyond legibility, the color, clarity and detail are excellent. The lamination seems to be nearly perfect and makes the chart tear resistant (we tested) and it can be written on with dry erase of non-permanent markers making it a much better teaching and study aid (again, we tested). The lamination is also light-weight making hanging possible even with just tape and there are two 3/8" brass colored grommets in the top corners for sturdier, tear-`proof' mounting that remains flexible (with say push-pins, thumb-tacks, nails, screws, or slot-wall pegs). The chart's size is big enough for good detail and easy identification of specific muscles (even without my glasses) and yet small enough to allow for mounting flexibility in a variety of places. For example it would fit nicely on the upper part of a standard door with a ~5"or so border on both sides.
BOTTOM LINE: Beautiful product crushed by poor shipping protocol = garbage. We don't pay for garbage. Do you?

Now I know exactly which muscle hurts if I overdo things Oct 07, 2010

Just the right size, however they have a larger one that's almost life size. I got mine to help identify more of the lessor known muscles when I'm weight training. Just taped it on the wall and it has been in place for months without slipping. It is exactly what you'd expect and as advertised. The only fault would be because it is so detailed the naming of the muscles is a bit close spaced and I wish it was a tad bigger text, but my eye sight isn't that great.

I bought this article for my dance classes. It has been very useful to be able to teach with muscular knowledge and target some basic muscles throughout my dance lessons.
