Sleep inducing fluff Jun 12, 2007
By Dinubabear I have a memory foam pillow that came with my memory foam padding for my bed, so I like softness. It was fine for sleeping on my side, but a little high for other positions. And sleeping on my belly with my arms under a thin pillow left my arms numb. So I get this pillow based on the reviews and fill it to the recommended medium setting to start out. All I can say is WOW!
The pillow seems thin, but is always the perfect height for support for every position. Face down with my arms under it, not only is my neck not sore, but my arms aren't numb. On the side it manages to support my neck as long as my shoulder isn't on the pillow. And I am finally able to sleep on my back, which other pillows didn't allow!
The only awkward part is filling, which you have to hold the pillow on its end & fill with something with a spout into its provided funnel. And it suggests you start out with 3 quarts of municipal water (with its trace of bleach to prevent mold growing inside) or adding a drop of bleach to other types of water. Then you massage the air bubbles out through the top and screw back in the cap. (If you don't get rid of the bubbles you may hear "sloshing" when you move.) It says you can change the water annually, but with the bleach purified water, and lack of replacement rubber gasket, I would never open the pillow again once I get it set.
The pillow is surprisingly heavy to carry, but you don't notice the weight on your bed, even with your arms under the pillow. And sleeping on cradling `fluff' puts me into deep, restful sleep.
The best pillow I ever had!

Great if it doesn't leak... Sep 17, 2009
By TJ I LOVED this pillow more than any pillow I have ever had. All of the reviews above were true, UNTIL....the pillow started LEAKING. This was the main reason I hesitated in buying a "water" pillow in the first place, but since it got such great reviews on-line I figured it was worth a try. Then the pillow started leaking for no reason...just normal sleeping on the pillow.
There is more to the problem... 1. The water pillow is sewn inside a cloth bag so you can't patch the leak with a rafting kit because you would have to cut the cloth open and then sew it back up. (Quite frankly, I am not that crafty.)
2. The company that makes this pillow only has an email contact on their website and they don't reply to emails.
3. Basically, you pay $50 for a pillow that may last you a month and it may last two years, but either way the company does not stand behind its product. You would think a $50 pillow would come with some sort of warranty.
In short...Even though it does give a great night's sleep for someone with neck problems, I can't say that I am all that impressed with the durability. Nor am I impressed with the quality of service provided for a $50 dollar pillow. My recommendation...try a different name brand.

Best Pillow Feb 11, 2007
By C. Blanchard You can fill this pillow with water to your desired pillow height. It conforms excellent to your head. The quality is very excellent and it is truly leak proof. It does not mat down like ordinary pillows. You would think it would feel cold with the water but the padding insulates to pure perfection. It is a bit heavy to move but that is the only downside. I like a lot of height to the pillow so added an extra pint of water to the max. recommended. It works fine!

Black Mold Health Risk Mar 15, 2010
By Brad the Brewer I bought this pillow 9 months ago from my chiropractor. I did not notice a slow leak or any water at all draining from the reservoir. This past week, I noticed a strange odor. Then came a sore throat and cough. I looked under the pillow case to find a small area of black spots, but enough to cause a strong odor and health hazard. To make matters worse, my pregnant wife would use the pillow after I left for work! Don't risk it.

Loved the Pillow...until the mold Beware Mar 08, 2010
By Stacy K. Lagemann
"Deputy 95"
I loved this pillow. It did last me a couple of years. Last week I noticed that I was coughing and had what I felt was a chest cold or slight bronchitis. It didn't get better. One night I noticed that the bed was wet under the pillow. When I took off the case and the pillow protector I was greeted with a pillow with a lot of black mold on the bottom. It had apparetnly been leaking slowly enough that I didnt notice it, but allowed Mold to grow. Disgusting. I don't know that I will trust this pillow again. I went out and bought a down pillow. I might buy one again, but I will beware.
