Buyer beware Sep 15, 2009
By B. McLaughlin

When I took this "Gel" seat out of the box, I noticed that it wasn't the Gel material I had invisioned. The gel seat on my bike and the gel insoles I wear are made of a soft, squishy rubber. This seat (I didn't disect it) feels like a stiff piece of foam. I'm a long haul driver and sitting in comfort is important. The taper of this seat cushion tilted my hips causing lower back pain. Co-driver tried it and hated it within two hours. It would be ok for a bleacher pad and I think would be great for anyone with a sore "tail bone" and the fold up / easy carry design is good. Beware: this is a stiff tapered piece of foam that can mess with your posture and cause pain.

This Gel Seat is great for those like me that travel regularly Sep 30, 2008
By R. Torres I travel between Tampa and Honolulu every two weeks for business and decided that I needed better support for my rear end to put up with this brutal trip. I bought the G-Seat along with a sleep mask, ear plugs and neck pillow and the combination made a big difference for me for these trips. I am able to sleep for longer periods and don't wake up to numb legs and buttocks. The coccyx doesn't bother me anymore after the first five hours of the trip as it used to before.
I can only say good things about this seat cushion that I decided to use it in the office too. In one of my trips and to my surprise, a gentleman seating in front of me that travels between Atlanta and Honolulu for business had the G-seat and it also made a big difference for him.

Gel seat Feb 11, 2010
By Virginia E. Mallard The product should have more "gel". It's better than nothing but could be improved by a bit more gel. Perhaps a half inch thicker.

Car traveler Sep 02, 2009
By 1amazonreviewer This portable g-seat gel cushion has made the long car trips more comfortable. Although we still need to take breaks for the 'four-paws' members of our pack, I would be able to keep driving.

G seat gets an F from me Jul 30, 2011
By Deemoey Looks like a good idea. Nice portable folding gel seat cushion should assist with pain like mine- ischial tuberosity or 'sit bone' pain. But no go. Cushion is very hard, of no help at all. A memory foam cushion is bulkier but much better.
