I have used this brand of pillow for 12 years. I have used at least six of them. It is a life saver for me. As with any pillow that is structured differently than a normal pillow, it takes about two weeks until the neck has adjusted back to the way it really should be. After that, it is pure comfort. Yes, the part of the pillow that goes under the neck is really firm at first, but it does not take much use before it softens up some. What I really like about it is your head fits in the D, which is only an inch thick, so the outer section is supporting the neck. One side of the pillow is wider than the other side to fit different lengths of necks. I bought this pillow from a Chiropractor for years. Now I can get it through Amazon. What a blessing! I keep one in my camper too. When I am somewhere I cannot take my pillow I miss it! Try one for two weeks straight. Maybe it will help you too.

I absolutely love this pillow! I have had less neck pain since I started using it. It takes a night or two to get used to it, so give it time.

The pillow was a little harder than I thought it would be and therefore not as comfortable as I would like, but the design is a good one.

I loved the concept of this pillow and still like how it is shaped, however it is sooo hard and soooooooo firm I get headaches and worse neck pain than with other pillows I have purchased. This would be great if it wasn't so HARD. You might as well roll up a stiff towel and put it under your neck~that's alot cheaper.
